Kaitsulla on takanaan mukavasti mennyt viikko ja valinta osui 4.2.2001 (Grand Rapids at Cleveland), 10.2.2001 (Cincinnati at Cleveland) ja 11.2.2001 (Manitoba at Cleveland) häneen. Cincinnati -ottelussa Kaitsu kirjautti tehot 2+2.

29.10.2000
Kiekko on alkanut pomppia suotuisammin Kaitsun lavassa. Kahden viimeisen ottelun
saldona on pörssipisteitä
tullut 3+2=5 ja sijoitus tilastoissa noussut kohisten.
24.10.2000
Kaitsu on avannut pistetilinsä myös Lumberjacksien riveissä, kahdeksan
pelatun ottelun jälkeen saldo on 0+5 eli vahvasti syöttövoittoinen. Kolmen
ensimmäisen ottelun jälkeen alkoi pistetilin kartuttaminen, viimeisen ottelun
saldo oli 0+2. Näillä tehoilla Kaitsu on joukkueensa pörssissä puolen välin
paremmalla puolella ja koko IHL:n liigan
pörssissä ensimmäisen kerran 25
tehokkaimman joukossa. Ei matka kärkeenkään kovin pitkä ole, sillä
pörssiä johtavan tehot ovat 5+5. Sarjatilanteen

Lunta tupaan!
Daigneault. Patera on esiintynyt viime kaudella Dallas Stars:n, Laplante Detroit Red Wings:n ja Daigneault Phoenix Coyotes:n -riveissä.

9/29/2000WILD OPEN XCEL ENERGY CENTER WITH 3-1 VICTORY OVER MIGHTY DUCKS
The first twenty minutes of hockey at the new Xcel Energy Center was Wild as the club jumped out to a 3-0 on the Mighty Ducks. Winger Kai Nurminen opened the scoring just 2:49 into the opening stanza. Nurminen took a feed from Stacy Roest at the mouth of the goal crease and beat Mighty Ducks J.S. Giguere for the first-ever goal scored in the Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota made it 2-0 at 6:05 of the first when defenseman Brad Bombardir converted a backdoor feed from Maxim Sushinsky for a goal. The line of Aaron Gavey, Antti Laakonen and Jeff Nielsen manufactured the Wild's third goal of the period on the forecheck. Cycling the puck down low, Gavey wheeled out in front and flipped a backhander by Giguere on the shortside at 10:46. Minnesota goaltender Jamie McLellan turned aside five Ducks shot in the first period.
The second period saw both teams tighten up defensively. Anaheim generated the period's best scoring chances on two powerplay opportunities, but the goaltending of McLennan kept the Ducks off the board. While killing the first to two penalties assessed to Aaron Gavey in the stanza, the Wild netminder kicked aside a scoring opportunity on the doorstep, then got some help from the post on the rebound to perserve the shutout through two. The Wild defense corp, especially NHL rookie Lubomir Sekeras, has done a good job of staying at home and not allowing the aggressive Ducks forwards to sneak behind and create the odd-man rush. Through two periods, Anaheim holds a 12-9 advantage in shots on goal, but trails on the scoreboard 3-0.
The Wild closed out the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and recorded a 3-1 victory in their first-ever preseason game at Xcel Energy Center. Jamie McLennan made 21 saves, and Kai Nurminen and Maxim Sushinsky each recorded two points in the win. The Wild scored three goals over the game's first 10 minutes, then locked up the Ducks defensively over the final two periods. Anaheim's lone goal came on the powerplay late in the third period as Teemu Selanne beat McLennan with a one-timer. The win brings the Wild's record to 2-2-3 in the preseason.
